Day 1. NAIROBI– SAMBURU
You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 6:15am and transferred Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu. The flight leaves at 8:00am,arriving Samburu at 9:05am approximately. On arrival you will met by the lodge driver for game drive and then to the lodge for check in and lunch. After lunch proceed with game drive from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. The reserve is located at a distance of about 343 km from Nairobi. Samburu Reserve covers an area of about 104 square kilometers, the Buffalo Springs Reserve covers 131 square kilometers.
The terrain includes hills, undulating plains with riverine forests, swamps, grasslands and woodlands. The reserves were opened to visitors in 1985.
There are also special campsites at each of the reserves, which are more convenient for the visitors wishing for adventure. Visitors can enjoy some lovely scenery, including permanent springs, and view animals like the giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, elephant, Oryx, Somali ostrich, hippo, crocodile, gerenuk, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Moreover, there are over 365 species of birds here. Diner and overnight at the Lodge or Camp
Day 2. SAMBURU – MASAI MARA
You will have an early morning game drive from 6:15 to 7.30am then back to the lodge for breakfast then you will have a game drive enroute to the airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara. Flight departs at 9.15am and arrive in the Masai Mara at around 10.45am. On arrival you will be met by the lodge driver with a 4x4 jeep for game drive enroute to the lodge for check in and lunch. After lunch proceed with game viewing orm 3.30pm to 6.00pm.
The Masai Mara (also spelled Maasai Mara) is a large park reserve in south-western Kenya, which is effectively the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park game reserve in Tanzania.
Named for the Maasai people (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and the Mara River, which divides it, it is famous for its exceptional population of game and the annual migration of zebra and the wildebeest from the Serengeti every year from July to October, a migration so immense it is called the Great Migration. Masai Mara is a home for the big 5, which includes Lions, cheetah, Elephants, Buffaloes and rhino. Leopard, gnus, , zebras, antelopes, dik dik are among the wildlife here and hundreds of birdlife, you can opt for an early morning balloon safari at extra cost, this can be arranged in advance at our office.. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge or Camp
Day 3. Masai Mara – Nairobi or Mombasa
After breakfast you will have the last Game drive until lunchtime. Lunch in the bush then transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight, which departs at around 3:45pm. On arrival you will be met by our driver and transferred back to your hotel.
